Emma Grey is the author of seven books, including USA Today bestsellers The Last Love Note, Pictures of You and Start at the End.
Pictures of You hit the bestseller list in its second week, has been optioned for TV, appeared in the New York Times book review and was named by People magazine as a “Best Books of November 2024”. Apple Books called it a “must read”, and the American Library Association’s Booklist gave it a starred review, calling it “superb”. It was selected by the major American book club, Book of the Month, along with The Last Love Note, which was also a monthly pick for the Target Book Club, nominated for Book of the Month’s “Book of the Year” award and named by the American Bookseller’s Association as one of their top 25 new releases. Start at the End attracted a multi-territory deal in Australia/New Zealand, the US/Canada and UK.
Emma’s books have been featured in Oprah Daily, The Washington Post, the New York Times, New York Post, Elle magazine, People magazine, Who Weekly, Psychology Today, the Australian Women’s Weekly and more, and have attracted multiple translation deals.
Her YA novels, Unrequited and Tilly Maguire and The Royal Wedding Mess were published by HarperCollins and, together with composer Sally Whitwell, Emma adapted these into stage musicals. With Audrey Thomas, Emma wrote a non-fiction title about productivity, I Don’t Have Time (Exisle) and her first book was a parenting memoir, Wit’s End Before Breakfast! Confessions of a Working Mum (Lothian).
Emma is a keen photographer and speaker. She is a mum of three, who lives just outside Canberra and dreams of dividing her time between an apartment in New York, a cottage on Prince Edward Island and a retro caravan along Australia’s coastline.
