Claudine Tinellis
Claudine Tinellis is a Sydney-based author, podcaster, facilitator and literary judge.
A former corporate lawyer, Claudine ventured into the world of publishing in 2014 as editor of 'Coastal Chef: Culinary Art of Seaweed & Algae in the 21st Century’.
In the years since, she has dedicated herself to writing fiction as well as championing Australian stories through her podcast, ‘Talking Aussie Books’.
Claudine’s work was recently recognised in the 2026 Hawkeye Publishing Manuscript Development Prize (awarded second place) and it also received a ‘Highly Commended’ by Varuna assessors, resulting in a week’s residency at the prestigious National Writers House in 2025.
When Claudine isn’t writing, reading or podcasting she enjoys spending time with her husband, three adult children and active puppies, hiking, drinking whisky, hosting book launches, visiting libraries and hanging out at literary festivals (though not necessarily in that order!).
